How Can I Make A Den For My Siberian Husky in TN?
I live in Middle TN. I have a siberian husky. He is an outdoor dog. What/How is a good way to make a den for him to stay cool in the outside weather?
He has to be an outside dog. My mom complains about him inside.
Your home makes an AWESOME den- seeing as how thats where he belongs anyway.
ETA> If your mom complains about him, you shouldn't have him. The ONLY reason to have an outside dog is if you're medically unable to have him- and if you're medically unable to have him, you shouldn't have him [or any dog] anyway.
Rehome him.

Siberian Huskies, unless shaved down to a puppy cut, should not be outside dogs. Their thick double coat is too heavy and can lead to overheating. Please consider house or crate training him so that you can bring him inside when its too hot. Your dog will thank you.
If you cannot be convinced to bring him indoors when it is hot, the biggest thing you need to think about is SHADE. If you have a portion of your yard that stays shady, like under a tree, this is the location to build his "den." If you do not have a shady section of the yard, you will need to create one.
Using a large outdoor kennel system, place a black tarp over the open top. Secure the tarp well with zipper ties. Inside the kennel, which should be as large as possible, you should have one end for him to sleep on, and in the other end, fill a baby pool FULL of COLD water. This will allow the dog to drink as much as he needs, and climb in the water if he becomes too hot. There should be enough room for the dog to romp in between these two zones, and both should be in the shade.
At the sleeping end, I would run a cord from a garage outlet to a large box fan. Leave this fan on high to circulate the air within the pen.
If you cannot have the dog inside, and cannot make humane accommodations for him, please consider surrendering your dog to a local Husky rescue. These people will make sure that your dog is rehomed to people who will care for him and make sure he has everything he needs.

Actually Huskies can live outside in hot or cold weather. You DO NOT cut or shave them. Their coat protects them from the elements especially the sun. Their coats keep them warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Make sure they have plenty of water and shade. They also love water, if you want you could put a childs plastic pool in their pen and fill it with water for them to play in. They would love it.

What you need to do is buy a wire metal dog cage with large openings, one can be purchased at a local petstore or check craigslist.com if your on a tight budget. Take the plastic pan out, and buy a 10 dollar puppy matt at Walmart (it's called a puppy rug). Set that i the bottom. What I like to do is take some black sheet plastic or window plastic (lowes, walmart, home depot) 8 dollars. and place it over the top, use cable ties/zip ties to secure it over the top and 3/4 of the way down on both sides. Leave the door open or take it off (pry the metal with a screw driver), place it outside. This will protect him from sun, and water if it rains and allow him to be comfortable.
I use this for mine and he loves it, although I let him inside if it gets real hot.
Huskies can survive in extreme temperatures, you need to supply lots of fresh cool water, and a shelter as i described if you want him to live outside.
DO NOT SHAVE HIM. The hair helps keep them cool in the heat.
