Hi,
I was out shopping the other day, when I noticed just how many shoppers were purchasing dog food from the supermarket shelves!
Is this the best way to make sure your dog is well looked after, diet and nutrition wise? I don’t think so. I just think we as a society are becoming a little too pressed for time and are giving into supermarket giants and any dog foods to feed our beloved family pets- if we happen to be supermarket shopping, then why not purchase the dog foods available in the same isles we do our family shopping?
I don’t think there are many dog foods available on the supermarket shelves that can claim to be natural and well balanced. This is why I try to provide my dogs (and I have had a few dogs over the years) with my own recipes, sometimes even using raw foods.
This is just something for you to think about before purchasing pre-packaged supermarket dog foods. Did you know that many world famous Doctors of Veterinary Medicine and many Published Dog Care Experts universally agree that any dog that eats commercial dog food as a ‘normal diet’, is at a much higher risk of dying prematurely. And by the time any symptoms are noticeable it is often too late to prevent an agonizing early and sometimes even slow death.
This is just something for you to ponder next time you are thinking about purchasing supermarket processed dog food. Any way I hope I have not depressed you too much speaking about dogs and death, but at least you know the eventual outcome can be reversed by simply watching what you feed your dog.

ok about the home food for dog im confuse why vet say no house food what so ever only dry dog food no can food also she said purina brand cuz ever since he was puppy was under weight but now i have always given him house food mix with his dog food but now i feed him all nature dog food brand avoderm so please let me know if that brand of food is not on recall or if is better than purina or which other brand of dog food you suggest mix with home cook food and which human food are ok and which are not good for my dog his everything to me his 2yrs and 7months old he still piking eater but his weight is much better about 48 lbs hope to hear from you thank you ahead of time [[[Ruby]]
I am taking my puppies to a class and they said to feed them Nutro brand dog food. Is this okay?
i have two Siberian Huskies and i feed them table food but not very much of it and i feed them Iams which says it is all natural and they love their treats.
i would love to know if i am doing the right thing because i love my Huskies very much.

so i’m from kosova republic and i have a siberian husky 1 yera and 4 months and i like to know which food is good for my dog if you cane to tell me and i give chicken drumstick it’s good for husky and milk with egs etc ….
I have a Sieberian Husky and I feed him, Beneful dry dog food, chicken flavored, for some reason my dog hates beef and he refuses to eat anything beef flavored.I don’t think you are supposed to give any dog milk,it sours their stomachs.
You don’t want to feed your huskies too much table food because it is not good for them and they will get overweight and it is not healthy for a husky to be overweight. I give my Husky, a can of vegetables mixed in with his dry food sometimes and he loves it.
I feed my dog Pinnacle dog food. It cost more and is hard to find but I heard from a trainer it is supposed to be the best. Has anyone heard of this? If so do you use it? Just looking for some feedback.
we feed a local dealer who sells agricultural food because my vet knows the farmers rely on good proteins and grains way more than me and Smokey do. My vet also recommends that if you feed table scraps than to make sure you give them a balance, not just fat and carbs but veggies and fruits too. Most recently Smokey has been stealing apples from our apple tree and eating tomatoes right off the vine! Smokey has always been a bit on the ‘anorexic’ side so if I can get him to eat a mix of people food on his off days she says it’s better than nothing.

A good quality dry dog food should contain all the nutrients and vitamins a dog needs. Canned dog food is not neccesary to provide a complete balanced meal. Canned dog food contains about 70% water. The dry dog food, as long as it’s a good quality one, should contain everything ur dog needs. I recommend advance dry dog food as it is the best. Please dont make ur own dog food as research has been done and countless experiments to produce a product that contains everyhing our beloved dogs need.

We are putting in new floors in our house. We had wall to wall carpets, but now our house will have tile all over. I think tile is better than carpets and Mukluks my sibe things so too. We feed her Beneful Dry Dog Food and mix it with human food. I try to follow the suggestions in the Siberian Husky Manuel I downloaded from you. She is a happy, healthy soon to be five year old. We also got a new Honda Civic LX 2008 and Mukluks likes to ride in it. She is always crated in our car. Take care!
